Here I am, back to my neglected little blog. I feel bad to have so little to say these days.
The last 2 months my headaches have been worse than usual. I’m frustrated and there’s nothing I can do about it right now. I go back next week to Chicago – as always, hopes are high, and I’m trying to keep my expectations in check.
In other slightly lame news, I got a cold. Mrt. It’s just a cold, but I feel like I just got over this! It has been interesting to note that I’ve figured something out about getting sick — I get 5 or 6 canker sores and then I get sick. Why is this? I don’t think it’s caused by the canker sores, but it’s definitely not a coincidence, because it keeps happening.
Does anyone else have this?

Thanksgiving was wonderful – the next day (yesterday) I woke up sick. My husband has definitely got a cold, but somehow when he gave it to me it seems more like a flu – aching muscles and all that. Also for some reason, I get lots of canker sores when I’m sick. Weird *and* unappreciated.
Can’t wait for this to pass – get back to dealing only with migraines.
**updated to add** — the recipes! I said I’d tell you how they turned out! This one (the pumpkin butter) was great – all around delicious. The sweet potatoes were GREAT, a big hit. The caramel apple pie was too sweet to me. Spencer thought so too. Next time I would use about half as much caramel on top. All in all, a good showing!
